Please Note:

  • As of July 1, 2024, an increase to the maximum fees Notaries are permitted to charge per signature and notarial act increased from $5 to $10.
  • Additional fees may apply for travel beyond 30 miles or for complex notarial acts.
  • We do not provide legal advice or prepare legal documents, as notaries public in Virginia are prohibited from offering such services.
  • Tolls are calculated with EZ pass calculator.
  • THE SIGNER MUST BE PRESENT, WITHOUT EXEPCTIONS, AND A VALID PHOTO IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.

Additional Services:

  • Additional signer fee: $10
  • Same-day service surcharge: $25
  • Waiting time: (Begins 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time) $1.50 per minute up to 15 minutes

*Virginia does not prescribe specific fees for travel; instead, its laws mandate that Notaries may only charge the actual and reasonable expenses incurred for travel (CDC 1-1231.23[b], IC 51-133[2], and COV 47.1-19[D]). For instance, if a Notary in Virginia spends a total of $5 on fuel or other travel costs to reach a notarization, the Notary cannot charge the signer more than this amount for travel fees.
